The Big Payback, by Dan Charnas

the big payback, by dan charnas

A masterful work for anyone who likes hip hop (especially those who also like history). Reveals Rick Rubin as brilliant jerk, Russell Simmons as visionary doofus, and that hip hop was multicultural from day 1. Would have liked more on impact of the Internet, but at 600+ pages, something needs leaving out.
