His Father’s Son, by Bentley Little

Categorized in:

his father's son

An ordinary man’s dying father reveals himself to be a serial killer. Great set up, but drab execution. Little’s evocation of what makes the main character a monster is skillful and subtle, though perhaps too subtle unless you know what to look for. The plot doesn’t quite justify the book’s 400 pages.
