52/52: Broken Harbor, by Tana French

broken harbor, by tana french

The best of French’s novels I’ve read, focused on a strange family murder in a failed housing development. Most compelling is the main character who thinks he’s escaped his past trauma, but is so immersed in it that his every metaphor and word choice is drenched in it. A subtle, towering achievement.
