The Possibility of an Island, by Michel Houellebecq

Houellebecq is lauded for his literary fiction, but to my reading, he’s writing science fiction. This book follows a comedian’s quixotic quest for sex – and his involvement with a cult that almost accidentally dooms humans and creates a successor species. An interesting book slowed by too many digressions and some overwriting.
