52/52: Monster, She Wrote, by Lisa Kroger and Melanie R. Anderson

Monster, She Wrote, by Kroger and Anderson

A useful overview of women in genre since the 1600s. A necessary corrective to the idea that women haven’t been interested in, or creating, horror/SF until recently. Good direction for further reading, though slight in places, repetitive in others. Some cursory treatments (Oates, Link, Karen Russell) seem odd given other, lesser inclusions.
