The Lottery, by Shirley Jackson

Not usually a book, this edition of Jackson’s seminal story (and foundational folk-horror text) is Suntup Press’ numbered edition, rendered as a slipcased hardcover. It’s a gorgeous edition of a truly amazing story, which reveals new details every time (Mr. Summers conducts the lottery—summers, a fertility sacrifice for summer crops, etc).
