In the first expansion of the Hellboy universe, focusing on the BPRD crew, the sense of impending doom and foreboding is overwhelming. The slow pace of the first chapter of the Plague of Frogs storyline are so creepy and ominous. Mignola’s use of insert shots so jarring and unique. What a joy.Â
