Folk Horror, by Adam Scovell

An important book, but not—by my lights—a good book. Important because Scovell defined the Folk Horror Chain theory that underscores most folk horror. Not good because it’s too academic, too hard to follow. There’s a long chapter about Hauntology, for instance, and I still don’t understand what that idea means.
