52/52: Sam Cooke’s Live at the Harlem Square Club, 1963, by Colin Fleming

Categorized in: ,

I really like this album (thanks, Jenn) and really disliked this book. Honestly, I skimmed it, once I knew it wasn’t for me. What was Fleming writing about? Not quite Cooke’s life or legacy, not exactly this album, not soul music history. A lot of flowery language, not adding up to much.

Book: 34 out of 52
