52/52: The Masque of the Red Death, by Edgar Allan Poe

Categorized in: ,

Everything about this edition of Poe’s classic chiller is handmade: the text hand-set and then letterpressed into the paper, the binding hand-sewn, and the full book manually produced. A marvel of craftsmanship from No Reply Press. This story—with its “illimitable dominion”—still has one of the strongest final lines I’ve read.
