A perfectly enjoyable story that ends with a ghost assuaged by love. I find that sort of thing appealing (I’ve written stories that end that way), but these days I prefer The Ring’s approach: Once started on its vengeance, no amount of impotent human emotion can spoil the ghost’s mission of ruination.
