Another installment in the delightful, one-story/one-book series of A Ghost Story for Christmas (despite being off-season), picked up at Kelly Link’s Book Moon in Easthampton, MA. Jacobs is most famous for “The Monkey’s Paw”; this OK, but thin haunted-house tale doesn’t have the same resonance or staying power as that more-famous story.
