Evenson’s work is apocalyptic. Not in the large-scale, epic way, but in a way where worlds, individual or global, are about to end or have already ended. The resulting fallout is brutalist. On the other hand, I once stood in line with him at the Chipotle on Thayer St. in Providence, RI.
