Scrying Stones and Dolmen and Others, by Lee Brown Coye

An appealing collection of short, creepy folk tales and story sketches from mid-20th century upstate New York, some of which ran in a local newspaper there. Of greatest note here is the title story, which formed the basis of Karl Edward Wagner’s short story “Sticks,” which later influenced The Blair Witch Project.
